Our Mission

We are a HVAC investment group that focuses on control investment opportunities in the lower middle market. We seek out investments in which we can establish true collaborative partnerships with business owners and management teams. We adopt, integrate, and scale HVAC businesses using our sales, marketing and technology platforms that will lead to a substantial creation of value over a long-term investment horizon.

Sergio Podda has over 25 years of Corporate Management Experience, and a proven track record of building strong teams both in Canada and the USA. Demonstrated success in driving market share and profitable growth, managing over $15 million in revenue, and fostering valuable strategic relationships. Years of experience establishing dealer networks with small medium businesses. Skilled in Sales, Six Sigma Certified, Certified Business Coach, Sales Operations, Sales Management, Marketing, Technology and Channel Sales.

Jamil Velji


Jamil Velji is a serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in operating and growing companies at both the local and international level.He's responsible for tens of millions in revenue growth for local small businesses and much more for the technology companies he's worked with.In recent years he's been mentored by one of the best in M&A, Mr. Daniel Pena, who has over 20 years of business transactions under his belt totalling in the billions.

Zafar Khawaja


Zafar Khawaja is an experienced entrepreneur and Platinum Certified Business Coach with over two decades of experience in establishing, managing and growing small businesses. He started 5 small businesses from scratch, built up a team and grew their annual revenues to 8 figures. He accumulated, managed and funded over $400 million dollars for dozens of Real Estate Development Projects as initial equity.

Mike Moran

Board Member

Mike Moran is globally experienced CFO for large scale businesses and he has guided organizations through rapid, profitable growth organically and through acquisitions. He has spent the past decade in professional services companies where he brought new strategic thinking and practical approaches to complex business challenges. Mike is a CPA, CA and an alumnus of the University of Waterloo. Outside of GHD, Mike volunteers as the Past Chair of an autism services not-for-profit in Toronto and is an Advisory Board member for a private IT consulting and solutions provider.

Henrik Leborg

Chief Financial Officer

Henrik Leborg is the principal of Gravity Consulting and acts as a Fractional CFO and Growth Advisor for companies, primarily in Software, Technology and Business Services. His experience includes improving financial operations and reporting, financial planning, and modelling, and enhancing profitability and business value in preparation of a company sale. Prior to founding Gravity Consulting, Henrik was the Chief Financial Officer of several small private companies in property services, real estate, manufacturing, and quick service restaurants. In real estate, Henrik’s accomplishments include the successful renegotiating of mortgage financing, improvement in portfolio profitability and value and due diligence on property acquisitions. In property services, Henrik consistently cut costs and reduced financial statement closing times. Henrik drove the development of robust financial reporting systems to increase company value and to facilitate the successful sale of the company. Henrik has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada and began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen. He is a US Certified Public Accountant and a Canadian Chartered Accountant. He is also a Certified Value Builder.
